Our Beliefs.
What We Believe
Both the Old Testament and New Testament are the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. The Bible is complete in its revelation, unchanging in its doctrine, and the final authority whereby all Christians are called to submit. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Matthew 24:35; Psalm 19:160)
There is only one God, eternally existing in three co-equal persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 John 5:7)
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, eternally existent as the second Person of the Trinity. On Earth, He was 100% God and 100% human, born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of humanity, resurrected on the third day, and ascended into Heaven as recorded in the Scriptures. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father interceding on the behalf of all believers and will return again to fulfill the prophecy of Revelation. (Matthew 3:17; John 1:1-3,14; Philippians 2:6-11; Luke 1:26-38; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 John 2:2; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Mark 16:18; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 9:28)
Repentance is the turning away of sin and is a prerequisite to salvation. Renouncing is the action taken to forsake sin. Believers are empowered to live a life apart from sin through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38, 3:19; James 5:16; Proverbs 28:13; Romans 6:1-7; Philippians 2:13)
Mankind was created flawless in the image of God, and through his willful transgression caused sin, death, and separation from God to befall all humanity. All have sinned and are in need of a Savior, which is Christ alone. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, a free gift from God not of our own works. We must be born-again to receive salvation. One can be spiritually born-again by repenting of sin, believing and confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior, and obeying His commandments. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23-26, 5:12, 10:9-10; Isaiah 59:2; John 3:3, 14:6, 15; Ephesians 2:8-9; Mark 1:14; Acts 3:19; James 2:18-24)
Water Baptism is a prophetic act of dying with Christ and rising with Christ. It is for the remission of sins. All believers should be water baptized in the name of The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as a public declaration of their faith and an act of obedience to God. (Romans 6:5-11; Acts 2:38; Matthew 3:13-15, 28:19)
Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. He indwells, comforts, guides, instructs, and empowers the believer for godly living. He guides us into all truth and reveals God to us so that we may have a personal relationship and experience Him. Believers are sealed with Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation until the day of redemption. We believe there is a baptism of fire in the Holy Spirit. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit to include words of wisdom, words of knowledge, faith, healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, interpretation of tongues, teaching, exhortation, giving, leading, and mercy. All believers have the ability to operate in all the gifts as they yield themselves to Holy Spirit and as God sees fit. (1 John 5:7; 2 Peter 1:3; John 14:25-26, 16:5-15; Ephesians 4:30; Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Romans 12:6-8)
Deliverance is the children's bread, it is a gift of freedom for the believer. We believe Scripture clearly states Christians can be demonized. Jesus has given us the power and authority, by the Holy Spirit, to deliver one another. Deliverance comes in the form of casting out indwelling demons, tearing down strongholds, canceling curses, dealing with unforgiveness, and receiving physical, mental, and emotional healing. We believe that Jesus' death on the cross did not just pay the price for our freedom in death, but He also paid the price to give us an abundant life on earth. Healing and deliverance is essential for the believer to fully walk out the plans, callings, and purposes God has for our lives. Jesus commanded all believers to cast out demons, heal the sick, and raise the dead. Deliverance ushers in the Kingdom of God, bringing glory and honor to His name. (Matthew 6:15, 10:7-8, 15:21-28; Luke 4:18-19, 33-34, 9:1, 10:19, 11:20; Acts 19:11; 2 Corinthians 10:3-6; Galatians 3:13; John 10:10; Ephesians 2:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Mark 16:17; Psalm 50:15)
Believers are called to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We demonstrate our love for God by keeping His commandments. We must offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, as true and proper worship. We believe every Christian should seek spiritual maturity, fulfill the great commission, and equip themselves for the works of ministry. (Deuteronomy 6:5, Mark 12:30-31; Romans 12:1, 13:8-10; John 14:15; 1 John 5:3; 1 Peter 1:5-11; Hebrews 5:14; Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:11-16)
Jesus will physically return to the earth to defeat the kingdom of darkness and establish a new heaven and new earth for His eternal reign. There will be a bodily resurrection for all, resulting in resurrection of eternal life for the righteous and resurrection of eternal damnation for the wicked. (Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 9:28; Revelation 1:7, 20:10, 21:1, 6-8; 2 Peter 3:13)
